British Transport Police (BTP) investigators are continuing to appeal for information after a man was punched unconscious in the taxi rank at York station.
Detectives previously appealed for information, and are now releasing CCTV of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, which took place in the early hours of Sunday, 20 November.
Detective Constable Andy Lehman, of BTP's Criminal Investigation Department, said:
"At around 03.00, a verbal altercation began between the victim, a 20-year-old from Harrogate and another man at the taxi rank.
"The suspect then suddenly leant towards the victim and punched him in the head, knocking him to the floor and leaving him unconscious."
The victim was taken to York District Hospital where he received stitches for a cut to his head.
Officers previously appealed for information through the media but to no avail.
Now, hours of CCTV have been viewed in and around the area, and images have been released in a bid to identify the man police wish to speak to.
DC Lehman added:
"This was a nasty attack which left a young man seriously injured and requiring hospital treatment.
"We will not tolerate violence such as this and I am appealing for anyone who was at the station's taxi rank at the time or who recognises the man pictured to come forward."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact BTP on 0800 40 50 40.
Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
