Update:  A man has been charged in connection with a shooting at an address in Ian Mikardo Way, Caversham, on New Year's Day.

Jamie Dunne, aged 29, of Ian Mikardo Way, Caversham, has been charged with attempted murder and is due to appear before Reading Magistrates' Court tomorrow (4/10).

The 28-year-old woman who was injured during the incident remains in hospital in a stable condition.

 

Thames Valley Police was called to an address in Ian Mikardo Way, Caversham, at 6.45pm yesterday (01/10), following a report that a woman had been shot.

The woman, aged 28, was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital with a gun shot wound to the back of her head.

She is in a stable condition.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody.

A scene watch remains in place.
