The incident took place in Watermoor Road in the town, between midnight and 2am in the early hours of Wednesday December 28.

He entered the living room and, upon seeing the woman, seemed shocked, ran towards her and punched her once in the face before running away.

The woman sustained a slight facial injury and was obviously very shaken by what had happened.

The offender is described as:

  • five foot six inches tall
  • slim build
  • aged mid-20s
  • wearing a grey hooded top and blue tracksuit bottoms
  • a piercing above his right eye
