Around 800 litres of heating oil was stolen from a tank near a home at Parkhill between 5pm on Christmas Eve, Friday 24, and 8am on Christmas Day, Saturday 25 December.

The tank is visible from the main road and police are asking anyone who may have been travelling along this stretch between Oulton and the A12 between these times to think back to see if you remember seeing anything suspicious.

Noises were heard around 1am and therefore police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area around this time.

If you saw a vehicle or anything else that may help enquiries please call PC 335 Stranks at Lowestoft Police on 01986 835300.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
