Antiques and silverware targeted by burglars: Bix

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a burglary at a property in Bix in which antiques and silverware were stolen.

Burglars broke into the property between 9pm and 11pm last night (2/2), by breaking in through a ground floor sash window.

The occupants were inside the property at the time.

The offenders searched the property and stole items.

These include:

  • jade ornaments
  • silver cutlery
  • 60cm tall 'woman and child' bronze statue
  • Stuart Devlin ornamental eggs
  • miniature paintings
  • stick barometer
  • brass Queen Mary box

The items are of significant value.

Anyone who saw people acting suspiciously in the village around the time of the burglary, or any suspicious vehicles please contact PC Ian Leese via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
