Police have issued CCTV images of a man they want to trace in connection with an assault following a Christmas party at a Blackpool hotel.

The assault took place around 1am on Saturday 17th December 2011 when a 17-year-old boy was assaulted at the Hilton Hotel on the Promenade.

The boy had been attending an organised Christmas party and was leaving through the hotel foyer when he and his friends were challenged by a man, who was also believed to have been attending a separate Christmas party.

Without warning or provocation the man has punched the victim once to right cheek causing swelling and bruising before leaving the hotel in a taxi.
