Appeal after 24 pheasants slaughtered and taken from farm: Norton

Police are appealing for information after 24 pheasant were stolen from a farm on the outskirts of Stockton.

The theft occurred sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning from the farm in Norton.

The owner believes someone let a dog or dogs into the pen where the birds which were layers, proving new birds for the next shooting season, were housed.

Once the birds were killed they were then taken away and they may have been offered for sale.
