Appeal after distressed woman pushed into silver/grey Volvo: Whitehaven

Police are appealing for information to trace a silver/grey K-reg Volvo after a man was seen to drag a female into the car near Whitehaven this morning.

A search has been launched to trace the car and its occupants after police received a report from a man who witnesses the male driver of the car push a woman who appeared distressed into his car at around 10:45/10:50am whilst parked up on the road near to Red Lonning Industrial Estate, Whitehaven.

They were seen to drive off in the direction of Moresby Park Roundabout.

The female is described as:

• aged 18-20-years old
• dark hair
• wearing a black leather jacket and white top

The male driver is described as:

• aged 20-30 years old
• slim build

Officers are searching for the vehicle, scouring CCTV and conducting house to house enquiries in the area as they are keen to speak to the occupants of the car to ensure they are safe and well.
