Police in Plymouth are appealing for information after a lit firework was thrown through a letterbox in the city on Christmas Day.

The incident took place at around 2040 hours at a flat on Union Street.

Minor damge was caused internally and fortunately no-one was injured.

The occupants were inside the property at the time so officers believe that the incident could have led to much more serious consequences.
