Police are appealing for information after four sheep were mauled to death by dogs.

The incident happened over the weekend in a field at a farm in the Glan Conwy area.

PC Lynette Farley said:

"So far local enquiries have been negative.

"We want to know if someone saw a dog or dogs attacking the sheep over the weekend in the Glan Conwy area?

"The dog/s would have been covered in wool and blood, and someone must have seen them in this state."

She added:

"This incident has caused the farmer much stress."
