Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old girl was approached by a man as she waited for a bus in Chazey Heath, Oxfordshire, yesterday morning (14/7).
The girl was waiting for the X39 Oxford to Reading bus on the A4074 when a man pulled up in a white van between 8.25am and 8.40am.
The man asked the girl to get into the van and when she refused he got out of the vehicle and grabbed her by the wrist.
A woman, who was also stood at the bus stop, intervened and told the man the girl didn't want to go with him.
The bus pulled into the bus stop and the girl and woman got on.
The man got back into his car and drove off.
The offender is described as:
Det Insp Mark Johns said:
"At this time we believe this is an isolated incident but I am very concerned about the man's behaviour.
"We are extremely keen to speak to the woman who intervened as she holds vital evidence, as well as anyone who was on the bus or driving past who saw the man or his van."
