Police investigating the theft of a dog in Skegness have released CCTV images of a man they wish to trace in connection with the incident.

At approx 1.40pm on Saturday 2 July, the dog's owner, a woman from Old Leake, tied the 1-year-old Chihuahua outside Oscar's on Lumley Road, while she went inside the shop.

A man was seen to be loitering outside the shop before untying the dog and walking off with it along Lumley Road.

The offender is described as:

  • a white male
  • medium build
  • dark hair
  • wearing a green top

The dog is described as:

  • fawn coloured female chihuahua
  • pink diamante collar
  • named 'Pocket' and is microchipped

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect or who has knowledge of the whereabouts of Pocket should contact PCSO Michelle Collins at Skegness Police Station on 0300 111 0300.
