Between the afternoon of Thursday 12th January 2012 and Saturday 14th January 2012, in the fields adjacent to Simpson Crescent, Helmsdale, a sheep was found with an arrow/bolt through its jowls.

The arrow was removed and the sheep is expected to make a full recovery.

Police in Sutherland are requesting that anyone with information in relation to the incident, or anyone who may have knowledge of any persons who may use such implements in the area, to contact them on 08456 033388.
