Appeal following theft of dog from outside One Stop, CCTV issued: Sunninghill Appeal following theft of dog from outside One Stop, CCTV issued: Sunninghill

Thames Valley Police has released CCTV images of a woman they would like to speak to in connection with the theft of a dog in Ascot.

The incident occurred on 17 November between 4.45pm and 5pm at the One Stop shop in High Street, Sunninghill.

The victim had tied up the dog outside the shop before going inside.

During this time a silver 5 door VW Golf pulled up outside and a woman driver got out and walked past the shop.

She returned to the car and shortly after a man got out on the passenger's side and walked to where the dog was.

He was seen putting the dog into the car which then drove off.

The dog is described as:

  • four month old female beagle
  • black and white back
  • tanned head with a white running line down the centre
  • white fur on the right side of its nose
  • wearing a pink collar and lead

If you recognise the woman from the CCTV still, or have any information about the incident or the whereabouts of the dog, please contact the investigating officer PC Oliver Mitchell by ringing our new single non-emergency number 101.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
