Appeal for help to trace robbers who targeted general store: Wolverhampton

Police in Wolverhampton are appealing for the publics help following a robbery at a general store in the Park Village area of the city.

The incident occurred at around 8.40pm yesterday (Easter Sunday), when three men, in their late teens to early twenties, entered the store on Nine Elms Lane and threatened a member of staff.

Having taken cash from the till and two bottles of whisky, the offenders ran off in different directions.

The first offender is described as:

• a mixed race male with light brown skin
• aged early 20s
• 6" tall
• medium build
• distinctive 'tramlines' shaved into his left eyebrow
• wearing a dark blue bandana over his face and a sky blue hooded top

The second offender is described as:

• a mixed race male with light brown skin
• aged late teens
• 6"2 tall
• heavy build
• spoke with a local accent with a slight African tone
• wearing a black bandana over his face and a black tracksuit with a lime green Nike logo

The third offender is described as:

• a mixed race male
• aged early 20s
• 5"8 tall
• fat build
• wearing a grey bandana over his face and a grey zip-up tracksuit with the hood pulled up

A police spokesman said:

"While no one was injured in the robbery, the victim has been left badly shaken.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact us and help us bring these men to justice."
