Around 1.30am on Saturday 30 May 2009, police were called to Withington Bowling Green, Birchacre Grove following reports of an armed robbery.
It is believed a group of between five and seven men forced open a door to the club.
There were three customers inside at the time who were told to lie on the floor.
The bar manager was taken to another room where the offenders stole a large amount of cash.
They also opened fruit and cigarette machines and stole more cash and cigarettes before running out of the club onto Derby Road, then onto Brook Grove.
The manager's handbag and a bowling bag were also stolen.
The men were all wearing dark clothing and possibly balaclavas.
Detective Constable Mark Atkinson of South Manchester CID said:
"One of the customers suffered minor injuries after they were hit in the shins but everyone involved was left terrified.
"If anyone saw this group of men before or as they ran off after the incident then please get in touch."
