Attempted abduction of 11-year-old schoolgirl, e-fit issued: Leeds

Police in Leeds have released an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the attempted abduction of an 11-year-old schoolgirl.

The incident occurred on Thursday 10 November around 4 - 4.15pm and close to the junction between Francis Street and Chapeltown Road.

As the victim made her way home from school she was followed by the suspect, who grabbed her arm and said "come with me".

Fortunately she was able to twist her arm free and run away.

The suspect is described as:

  • a black male
  • aged late twenties to early thirties
  • spoke with a deep Jamaican voice
  • dark patches under his eyes
  • distinctive patchy skin with light and dark brown areas on his face
  • 5'4" to 5'5" tall
  • big Afro hairstyle, raggy and combed up
  • wearing a red, white and grey checked jacket, which was buttoned up and black jeans that were too big for him and covered his footwear
