Police are appealing for witnesses after burglars broke into a Whitchurch home, stealing the owner's car and a pet tortoise.
The burglary happened yesterday afternoon at a home in Edward German Drive while the occupant was away for just 20 minutes.
Entry was gained by forcing a door between 4.30pm and 5pm.
A search was made of the premises and the keys taken for a black BMW 745i, registration E3 SHE.
The car, valued at around £10,000, was then stolen from the drive.
Also stolen were a Blackberry mobile, keys and an eight-year-old tortoise worth £1,000.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said:
"We are appealing to people who were in the area of Edward German Drive late yesterday afternoon to contact us if they saw anything suspicious.
"In particular, we want to hear from anyone who saw a black BMW being driven off."
