Cash taken from gaming machine in Cherry Tree pub burglary: Stakeford

Between 11.30pm on Sunday, May 2, and 9am on Monday, May 3, thieves have broken into the Cherry Tree pub in Riversdale Avenue and once inside have targeted the gaming machine and stole an amount of cash.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them and are especially keen to speak to two men who were drinking in the pub on the night the offence took place, as they might have information that could help with the investigation.

The first suspect is described as:

  • a white male
  • medium build
  • aged in his early 30's
  • around 6ft tall
  • messy dyed black hair
  • wearing a dark top with stripes down the sleeves
  • spoke with an Australian accent

The second suspect is described as:

  • a white male
  • aged in his 40s
  • 6ft2ins tall
  • stocky build
  • short brown hair
