Police are releasing a CCTV still of two men they would like to speak with in connection with an offence of fraud in Watford.
At around 1pm on December 21, a woman in her 50s received a call from a man claiming to be from her bank.
He asked her for her PIN, which she gave to the man.
Her purse, containing her bank cards, had been stolen sometime before this from Watford General Hospital and subsequently money was taken from her account.
PC Mohamed Huzair from Watford police station is investigating and said:
"I would appeal to anyone who recognises these two people to contact me.
"It may be they were witness to something or have vital information which would assist the investigation.
"I would also like to remind people never to give their PIN to anyone.
"People who call out of the blue asking for this information will never genuinely be from your bank."
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Huzair via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101.
Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
