Armed raiders threatened a grandmother with a knife during a robbery at a house in Sharston.
Sometime between 2.30pm and 2.45pm on 31 October 2011, two offenders broke into a house on Larkhall Rise.
They searched a number of rooms and when confronted by the occupant, a 53-year-old woman, and her daughter-in-law, took the two women into a kitchen.
The offenders demanded cash and their threats woke a two-year-old girl who was sleeping in a downstairs room.
Both offenders then escaped with cash, vouchers and jewellery.
A picture of a man police want to speak to has been released.
Detective Constable Matthew Farrell, said:
"A grandmother, mother and her child have been left extremely upset by these two intruders who were armed with knives and who made threats towards them.
"Everyone should feel safe in their own homes and we are determined to identify the offenders and bring them to justice.
"I would ask the public to look at the image of the person we want to speak to and if anyone thinks they know him please get in touch."
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 6153.
