Distraction burglary in shop, suspects caught on CCTV: Blaby

Police have issued the images of two people they would like to talk to following the report of a distraction burglary at a shop in Blaby.

The incident happened at approximately 12pm on Saturday October 22, when the owner of the shop was distracted by a man asking various questions about items inside the shop.

During this time a second man broke into an office at the back of the shop and stole a large quantity of cash.

A woman, who was also in the shop at the time of the incident, is believed to have been with the two suspects.

Officers have released the images of two people they would like to talk to in connection with the incident.

PC Rebekah Harrison, the investigating officer, said:

"The owner was speaking to the man at the front of the shop in good faith, in attempt to help her with the queries.

"During that time the suspects took the opportunity to break into an office at the back of the shop and steal the owner's money.

"I would ask members of the public to take a good look at the images we have provided.

"Do you know the people in the images?

"Are you in the image?

"If so please call us and help us with our enquiries."
