Dog chases off burglars as police issue e-fits: Derbys/Leicestershire Dog chases off burglars as police issue e-fits: Derbys/Leicestershire

Police have released these e-fit images of two men suspected of committing aggravated burglaries in south Derbyshire and Leicestershire.

The most recent incident took place on October 17 when four men attempted to gain entry to a house on Oversetts Road, Newhall.

The victim let his dog out of the house and the offenders ran off.

A similar offence took place at around 9.30pm on Friday, August 26 when four men broke into a house on Bentley Dale, Hartshorne and tied up and assaulted the occupants before stealing cash and mobile phones.

Two of the offenders were not wearing face masks and the victim has worked with police to produce these images of the suspects.

The first offender is described as:

  • a white male
  • 6ft 2in tall
  • aged 27 to 30
  • slim build
  • long pale face, stubble and dark hair

The second offender is described as:

  • a white male
  • 6ft 1in tall
  • aged 25
  • slim but muscular build
  • slim face
  • long bony nose and short shaved black hair
  • wearing a black jacket, dark jeans and black trainers

Police in Derbyshire are liaising with colleagues in Leicestershire after two similar offences took place in the Oadby area on July 25 and August 13 this year.

Officers believe the offences may be connected.

If you recognise the men in the e-fits contact Derbyshire police on the new non-emergency number 101.
