Police in Alton are appealing for information after a burglary at a church in Bramshott on Sunday, September 13.
Sometime between 12pm and 5.30pm a cupboard was broken into and cash was stolen at St Mary the Virgin Church in Church Road.
A safe was also broken into and money that had been donated was stolen.
PC Pete Wilkinson, of the Alton Targeted Patrol Team, said:
"This burglary happened during the afternoon and someone may have been in the area and seen something.
"This was a despicable crime where the offender has preyed on the goodwill of parishioners who give to the church.
"The money stolen had been donated and we would ask anyone with information to contact us as soon as possible."
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Wilkinson at Alton police station on 0845 045 4545 or 101.
Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
