Fence damage linked to attempted theft of dinghy: Nacton

Damage was caused to a 7ft tall wire mesh fence at Priory Park in Nacton between 10pm on Thursday 25 and 8am on Friday 26 June.

Police are linking the incident to an attempt to steal a motorised dinghy on the River Orwell at Alnesbourne Priory around 3.30am on Friday 26 June.

Three youths were seen in the dinghy but fled without taking it after they were disturbed by a member of the public.

Officers are also investigating the theft of an outboard motor from another boat moored at Alnesbourne Priory between 4pm on Wednesday 24 and 4pm on Saturday 27 June.

Anyone with information about any of these incidents, or the youths seen, is asked to call PC 310 Soames or PC 1602 Richer at Felixstowe Police on 01473 613500.
