Police are appealing for information about the whereabouts of five missing animals. Two Shetland ponies and three goats were reported missing from Over Farm, near Gloucester yesterday.

The male and female ponies named Teddy and Squiggles which are chestnut in colour with lighter manes disappeared between 4pm on October 10 and 1.30pm the next day.

The goats which went missing then too are Thistle, which is white with floppy ears, Blackberry which is white and slightly smaller and Caramel which is the youngest and has a cream coat. All three are female.

Jane Lineham, who is manager of the farm which runs educational and recreational visits and who reported the animals stolen, said: "The children will miss them. I've been here 14 years and Teddy has been here longer than that, he's a real fixture. We've had Thistle about eight years and she's had two lots of kids here. If you know where they are, please bring them back."

Anyone with information about the animals' disappearance is asked to contact police on 0845 090 1234.
