Heroin worth more than £400,000 seized, man arrested: Oldham

A man has been arrested after heroin worth more than £400,000 was seized in Oldham.

Police discovered the drugs at a house on Letham Street shortly after 8am on Wednesday 4 February 2009.

Officers found a substantial amount of heroin and drug paraphernalia.

Detective Sergeant Martyn Schofield, of Oldham Divisional Task Force, said:

"People's lives are ruined by drugs and we are working hard to tackle those involved in the supply of them.

"I would urge anyone with information to come forward."

A 42-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.
