High value plant and agricultural machinery stolen from farm building: Whitley

Police are appealing for information following the theft of plant and agricultural machinery in the Selby area.

They were taken at approximately 9.15pm on Wednesday 1 February 2012, from a farm building on Doncaster Road in Whitley, near Selby.

Stolen items include:

  • yellow JCB forklift, YC10FDV
  • blue New Holland tractor, YX10FUF
  • trailer loaded with fifteen 600kg bags of fertiliser, valued at around £4,000
  • child's quad bike
  • diesel pump
  • Stihl saw

PC Ben Astin, of Selby Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:

"I need to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the theft or can help to recover any of the stolen property.

"I ask them to contact the police straight away.

"I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who knows the current location of either of the vehicles or the fertiliser.

"Or may have seen any item matching their descriptions in unusual circumstances."
