Intruders threaten and rob couple in their home: Chaddesden

Police in Derby are appealing for witnesses to a burglary at a house on Nottingham Road, Chaddesden that happened last night (Monday November 28).

At around 7pm two men knocked at the door of a house and then barged their way into the premises.

The couple who own the house were threatened and the intruders demanded property.

The men stole cash and jewellery before leaving the house and running off up Nottingham Road towards the fire station.

The couple were both checked over at hospital but were released after treatment.

Both were extremely shocked by their ordeal.

Both offenders are described as:

  • black males
  • wearing balaclavas which covered most of their faces

Officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them.

They would also like to hear from anyone who saw a vehicle and driver parked on or around Nottingham Road.

People with information should ring the police on the new non-emergency number 101.
