Police in Barrow are investigating after a man indecently exposed himself at the junction of Harrison Street and Sutherland Street.

At around 9pm on Sunday 21st August, a woman was walking home with her children when the man exposed himself and shouted profanities at her.

Sergeant Ian McClymont from the Barrow Neighbourhood Policing Team said:

"This was an upsetting experience for the woman and her children.

At this time of night there would have been people in the area who may have seen or heard this man."

The offender is described as:

  • a white male
  • 6'2" tall
  • slim build

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information about the identity of the man should contact Barrow police on 0845 33 00 247.
