Man taking indecent pictures of women passengers on board train, CCTV issued: Slough

An investigation has been launched by British Transport Police (BTP) after a man took indecent images of a woman onboard a train between Southall and Slough on Tuesday, 22 November.

Detectives have also released an image of a man they would like to identify and talk to in connection with the incident which took place onboard the 16:12 First Great Western service from Paddington to Maidenhead.

Detective Constable Chris Church, the investigating officer from BTP, said:

"The victim, a 46-year-old woman from Maidenhead, was travelling onboard the train when she noticed a man behaving suspiciously and believed he was using his mobile phone to film up her skirt.

"After moving seats to get away from him she saw him go on to do the same to two other female passengers.

"So far these women have not come forward.

"We believe they were not aware of the man's actions, and I would very much like to speak to them."

Officers believe one was wearing a grey woollen beret and left the train at Burnham.

The other was blonde and left the train at Twyford.

Officers are now appealing to anyone who witnessed the incidents, or who recognises the man in the image, to contact police.

DC Church added:

"I would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen the same man acting in a similar manner perhaps in another location.

"This type of behaviour is extremely unpleasant, intrusive, and totally unacceptable.

"Thankfully incidents of this nature are rare, but they have no place on the rail network and I am determined to catch the person responsible."

Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
