Police have released photos of a horse that they are trying to trace the owners of.

The rising two-year-old colt was found roaming on the A40 by pass between Over and Longford roundabouts on September 20, 2011.

Officers have made every effort to trace the owners and are now making a public appeal for them to come forward.

The horse is described as:

  • dark bay
  • white star
  • two white socks on his back legs
  • kind in nature and appears to have been well handled
