Owner sought for recovered stolen bike: South Shields

A suspected stolen bike has been recovered by police who are asking for the public's help in reuniting it with its owner.

The bike, which is blue with yellow trimmed wheels, was recovered after a house search at an address in South Shields in December.

Officers are keen to hear from the owner so that the distinctive bike can be returned.

PC Dave Rockell said:

"If we can trace the owner this will ease any financial loss to the victim and reassure people that the police are doing all they can to investigate such crimes."

Anyone who recognises the bike should contact police on 101 extension 69191.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111
