Droitwich Police are trying to identify a man who grabbed a teenage girl by the arms and face following an argument on King George's Playing Fields near Droitwich Sports & Leisure Centre, Briar Mill, on 23rd March.
The white man, unknown to her, was walking in the opposite direction to the girl - who was heading towards Droitwich Spa High School - immediately prior to the incident, which occurred between 1630 and 1645 hours.
Following a verbal disagreement the 6ft man grabbed her arms and then her face, not hard, but enough to frighten her.
She then ran off and he went towards Westlands.
He is described as:
"We are not regarding this is a sexual assault in any way; the female was scared but not physically injured," said a police spokesman.
"We do, however, want to establish the man's identity so that we can speak to him to totally clarify what happened. We urge him to come forward so that this can be cleared up as quickly as possible."
Police don't not know of anyone else being in the area at the time but, if someone believes they may have useful information or can identify the man, officers can be contacted on 0300 333 3000, quoting 598S/230309.
