Police seek owners of jewellery found in green box: Southsea

Police in Portsmouth are trying to trace the owners of jewellery which is believed to be stolen.

At around 4.20am, Monday, July 19, officers on patrol on Albert Road, Southsea, stopped a 16-year-old local youth.

They recovered the items from him and he was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

He was bailed until August 10 pending further enquiries.

PC Emma Joyner said:

"The necklaces, bracelet and earrings were found in a small green box.

"We don't know where they've come from but we suspect they may have been stolen.

"If you recognise the jewellery from the picture, please get in touch as soon as possible."
