Nearly £5,000 worth of specialist cleaning equipment stolen from a locked van in South Worcestershire today (20th September) could kill animals - and even humans - if used in the wrong conditions, police have warned.
The items - one valued at £3,500 and which, the owner says, could be mistaken for a humidifier - were taken in Station Road, Blackminster, near Evesham at approximately 1022 hours.
"If used in a confined space for a substantial period this equipment could be fatal to animals and ultimately humans," said a South Worcestershire police spokesman.
If anyone saw anything at all suspicious in Station Road between 0820 and 1020 hours today - or knows of suspect equipment being offered, or sold on - they are asked to ring police on 0300 333 3000.
Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
