Robbers with hammers escape on motorcycles after targeting watches, CCTV: Swindon Old Town

Wiltshire Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses and information following a robbery at Deacons in Old Town, Swindon, on Tuesday 11th October 2011.

In particular, officers are keen to identify the man in the attached CCTV image in connection with this incident.

At approximately 10.15am, two men, carrying hammers, entered the premises, smashed open a number of display cases and stole a quantity of Rado, Rotary, Seiko and Longines watches.

They then left the area on motorcycles driven by two other men.

Both suspects were dressed all in black and were wearing motorcycle helmets.

Detective Constable Liz Coles, said:

"Fortunately no-one was injured during this incident, nevertheless robbery is an extremely serious offence.

"Since October we have been following up a number of significant lines of enquiry and I am now in the position to appeal for help from the public to identify the man in the attached image in connection with this incident.

"We have also been working very closely with the owner of Deacons who continues to assist us in our enquiries."

Anyone who recognises the man in the attached image is asked to contact DC Coles at Gablecross Police Station on 101.
