Saddlery and instruments worth a total of around £1,500 were discovered stolen today (Friday, 25 November) following a break-in at stables at Dodford, near Bromsgrove.

The thieves also caused around £500 while breaking into a building where the items were stored in Warbage Lane some time between 12.30pm yesterday (Thursday) and 10.15am this morning.

A saddle and bridle worth £700 were among the haul which also included electrical lighting, a guitar and a banjo.

PC Simeon Darrall-Jones said:

"Several panels were removed as the thieves broke into the building and they would have made a fair bit of noise in the process as well as being there for quite some time.

"They would also have been using a vehicle due to the rural location and amount of property taken.

"Therefore we would like to speak to anyone who might have heard any unusual activity around there or seen any vehicles or people in suspicious circumstances."

Witnesses or anyone with information should call PC Darrall-Jones on 0300 333 3000.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
