Shop owner subjected to assault and racial abuse: Breton Side, Plymouth

On Saturday 14th March a slim white man, wearing dark clothing, assaulted and racially abused the shop owner whilst in the Kebabs King shop, Breton Side, Plymouth.

The shop owner was uninjured.

The assault took place between 11pm and 11.40pm.

There were between five and eight other people in the shop at the time of the assault but all left before police officers arrived a short time later.

Police are encouraging any of those who were in the shop at the time of the assault to contact them either by calling the police on 08452 777444 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

A 26-year-old man from Callington was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated assault and released on police bail to return to Charles Cross police station on 24 April 2009.
