Smell of burning alerts house occupant to arson attack: Leamington Spa

Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted arson that occurred in the early hours of Sunday 26 September 2010 in Comyn Street, Leamington Spa.

The occupant of a property in the street was woken by the smell of burning at around 3am.

On checking his front door he found that lighted paper had been pushed through his letter box.

Fortunately the paper extinguished before any damage was caused.
