Staff threatened as three men rob the Co-Op: Banbury Road, Kidlington

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information following a robbery at the Co-operative store in Banbury Road, Kidlington last night (22/11).

At about 9.50pm, three men entered the shop and demanded that the shopworkers hand over money from the safe, before they left on foot.

The first manĀ is Asian and had his face covered.

The secondĀ man is Afro Caribbean and was wearing a blue anorak with the hood pulled up.

The third man is very tall, over 6ft and slim.

Det Insp Steve Duffy, leading the investigation, said:

"Fortunately none of the staff were injured and, as this happened as the shop was closing, there were no customers inside the store.

"We would urge anyone with information to come forward immediately and help us with our investigation.

"I would also like to reassure the local community that Thames Valley Police is doing everything in its power to catch those responsible as soon as possible and brought before the courts."
