Police are releasing a CCTV image of a man wanted in connection with a distraction burglary at an address on Bromford Road, Bromford.

On 7 August 2011, a man knocked on a 78-year-old woman's door claiming to be looking for her neighbour.

As she left the room to look for a pen and paper he took her handbag containing her purse and bank cards.

One of the cards was later used to buy goods valued at almost £240 at the Footlocker at the Onestop, Perry Barr on 10 August.

The suspect is described as:

  • a white male
  • aged 18 to 20
  • 5 ft 6 inches tall
  • medium, proportionate build
  • Irish accent
