Surrey Police is continuing to crackdown on the supply and use of illegal drugs in the county following the discovery of a cannabis factory in the Park Barn area of Guildford.
Officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a detached property in the area on Wednesday (21 December) when a search uncovered more than 65 plants being grown in one of the bedrooms.
Further investigations revealed propagation trays and hydroponics apparatus including lights, oil heaters and wall linings.
In total more than 300 plants were discovered.
Detective Inspector Andy Haslam said:
"Cultivation of cannabis is a criminal offence and this is an important discovery which will disrupt the supply of this illegal drug which blights our neighbourhoods.
"The supply of cannabis is something that we treat very seriously indeed and any offenders will be robustly dealt with by Surrey Police.
"Drug misuse is a community problem and it is important that anyone with information or suspicions about drugs in their area contacts us so we can take action."

NOTE: a 16-year-old Vietnamese youth has been charged with the cultivation of cannabis, a class B drug and dishonestly using electricity.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear before magistrates in Guildford today (Thursday, 22 December).
