A teenager was left shaken after being the victim of verbal abuse in Dereham town centre.

The incident took place in Nelson Place at around 1.30pm on Monday, 8 August.

The 17-year-old, who comes from the Dereham area, was approached by a group of four teenage girls who started verbally abusing her.

The offenders are all believed to be aged in their late teens.

Nelson Place is an open air shopping precinct and officers believe there may have been a number of shoppers in the area at the time.

Officers would be keen to speak to anyone who believes they may have witnessed a verbal altercation between a group of girls.
