Theft of van containing plant and power tools, CCTV issued: Walshaw

Police in Bury have released an image of a man who is wanted in connection with the theft of a van.

On 1 November 2011 a blue LDV 400 van was stolen from a property on Moyse Avenue in Walshaw, Bury.

The van also contained a number of plant equipment and power tools.

Later that same day the vehicle was taken to a dealer in Ashton to be scrapped.

The suspect is described as:

  • a white male
  • aged 20 to 25
  • medium/stocky build
  • 5ft 10in tall
  • short dark hair shaved at the sides
  • wearing a blue Fred Perry T-Shirt with dark trousers

Police Constable Dan Catlow from Bury's Volume Crime Team said:

"We have issued a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with this theft, which is taken from the scrap dealers in Ashton.

"I'm appealing for anyone who may recognise this man or who may have witnessed the theft to contact police to help us with our investigation."
