Police investigating a burglary at De Montfort University student union bar have released CCTV images of a man they wish to identify and trace in connection with the incident.
The burglary took place at about 1.40pm on Friday November 11, 2011, when staff left the building, Level One Student Union Bar in Mill Lane, after the fire alarm began to sound.
After the building had been checked and secured staff returned to the bar to find that three tills had been damaged and a quantity of cash had been stolen.
PC Leigh Glover is investigating the incident, she said:
"We are hoping that someone will recognise the man in the images and contact us, the images are very clear and I'm sure someone will know who he is.
"If you have any suspicions about his identity, even if you're not 100%, we would urge you to contact us as we can quickly eliminate people from our enquiries."
Anyone with any information about the man or the incident is asked to contact PC 4739 Leigh Glover on 101, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 4739.
Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
