The incident occurred between Saturday 13th June 2009 and Wednesday 1st July 2009 from a field adjacent to a farm in Ableton Lane, Hallen.

The first pony is described as:

  • mare
  • dark brown
  • 3 years old
  • no markings, other than a small white star in the middle of the head

The second pony is described as:

  • filly
  • black
  • 2 years old
  • a white star marking on the head
