Police in Worcester have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to about a number of thefts from vehicles on Armstrong Drive in Diglis.
At least six cars were broken into during the incident, which happened between midnight and 6am on Saturday, 10 December 2011.
The vehicles had their windows smashed and items including sat navs and phones were taken.
A nearby car repair garage was also broken into overnight and is being linked to the thefts.
PC Christopher Day from Worcester police station is investigating the case.
He said:
"We are keen to talk to the man in the image as he was seen in the area of the break-ins around the time of the offences.
"His outfit is quite distinctive and he is certainly dressed for the weather and was carrying a very large rucksack.
"I would appeal to anyone who remembers seeing him in the early hours of that Saturday morning to contact us."
Anyone who is able to identify the man in the CCTV image can contact PC Day on 0300 333 3000.
Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
