Witness appeal to fatal traffic collision: A34, Birchfield Road, Perry Barr

Police in Birmingham are re-appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision on Saturday 12 December 2009, in which a man sustained fatal injuries.

The incident occurred at 10:30am on the into-city carriageway of the A34 Birchfield Road, Perry Barr, near to the turn-off for Lozells.

Involved in the collision was a black Ford Ka and a 24-year-old male pedestrian from the Lozells area of B'ham.

The casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance but died from his injuries shortly after midday.

The deceased has been named as Hamsa Musse.

Traffic officers investigating the collision said the A34 was a busy road, especially on a Saurday, and any witnesses, or anyone with information, is urged to ring 0845 113 5000 and ask to speak to the Road Policing Unit at Nechells Green police station.
