Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was falsely imprisoned during a robbery in Dewsbury.
Kirklees CID would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident which took place at around 8pm outside the Sainsbury's store in Dewsbury last night (7/9).
The 52-year-old female victim had left the store and withdrew some money from the cash machine.
She then got into her blue MG motor vehicle when a man subsequently got into the car via the passenger door, threatened her with a knife before telling her to drive.
The victim drove approximately one mile when the suspect got out and made off with her handbag into the Chickenley estate.
The suspect is described as:
DS Dave West of Dewsbury CID, said:
"This is an extremely serious offence which has left the victim very shocked and upset and we would like to speak to anyone who has witnessed the incident or seen the offender just prior to the incident taking place."
